Dirty Worm Farms “Lily of the Valley” is a tested F1 cross of Skunk#1 x Mother of Berries (reversed) and Blueberry F9. The female used in this line, Mother of Berries, also known simply as “MOB” to most of the cannabis community, is an indica heavy hybrid (90% indica/10% sativa) strain created as a cross of the insanely delicious Blueberry X Jerry Berry strains. This bud is infamous for its crazily delicious aroma and taste. The Blueberry stock used was from the early 2000’s and credit must be given to Mystic Funk and Green Wolfe Genetics credit for working her to the point she was at when DWF received the seedstock.
The two main phenotypes are expressed in a pretty even ratio—about 50/50. The two primary expressions are similar except for slight differences in terpenes and overall chemotype (effect). There’s a 3rd, not desirable 3rd, expression if you run enough seeds took, although honestly, this recessive expression isn’t that spectacular, so that writhed out in our favor.
Oddly enough, even though Blueberry comprises over 50% of this cross. 62.5%, as one of the parents of the MOB, is Blueberry. Both primary phenotypic expressions are an even blend of the best traits of both the Mother of Berries (MOB) and Skunk#1 (albeit a different cut of Blueberry, but close enough as the Blueberry F9 was derived from DJs mid 90’s before he lost his original breeding stock).
Absolutely Zero intersex issues, and Dirty Worm “Tortured them. Didn’t even skip a beat.”
Easy to Clone and easy to grow overall. Another excellent cut for beginners. And is to be noted that the Skunk was selected from Todd McCormack’s increase of seed stock that initially came from Mel Frank right around 96′ when he did the original seed increase. The final selection (the one used here) was on the sweet side and not towards the Skunk spray, acrid, sulfur, thiol nose. This selection smells just like Juicy Fruit Gum, also without any underlying ganja smell, and was a no-brainer to outcross to the Mother of Berries.
Dirty Worm’s main goals were to retain the sweet berry aromas as much as possible while improving the MOB’s overall branching structure and stretch. Also, to maintain the floral/bud structure of the Skunk. He also managed almost wholly to eliminate the Skunk’s nutrient deficiency issues. Her suitor always gets Iron/Cal/Mag/Copper uptake issues.
Flowering time is right around 63-70 days.
