Iced Chocolate F2 (Chocolope F3 x Vanilla Frosting) 10 Regular Seeds

Deep Ellum Seed Co. presents “Iced Chocolate,” an F2 generation resulting from the cross of Chocolope and Vanilla Frosting.

They found Humboldt Seed Co’s “Vanilla Frosting” (Humboldt Frost OG x Humboldt Gelato) to be a unique plant. It exhibited terrific potency that lasted for hours, accompanied by a distinctive sweet vanilla crème taste that lived up to its name. While not a high-yielding plant, the quality of the medicine was noted to be very good. Fortunately, its ease of growth allowed for the selection of a suitable male for further breeding.

DNA Genetics’ “Chocolope” is described as a surprisingly nice Chocolate Kush, featuring DNA’s famous Chocolate Thai layered into a Hershey’s chocolate, earthy Kush profile. DNA inbred this strain to F3, and a Cannalope Haze phenotype was chosen. This selection displayed increased resin production compared to the F1 generation, along with improved yields and mold resistance (a trait Chocolope typically lacks), while retaining the delicious chocolate flavor.

The Vanilla Frosting male contributed significant potency to the cross, while the Chocolope F3 maintained its appealing flavor and frosty, solid yields. Deep Ellum Seed Co. notes that this plant exhibits a lot of genetic diversity, and growers should expect a few different phenotypes to appear. However, it seems that good mold resistance and exceptional terpenes will be common traits. As an F2 line, they suggest there are still undiscovered gems within this genetic pool.
