Northern Lights 5×5 is a meticulous tribute to one of Nevil’s greatest achievements, presented with great humility by Deep Ellum Seed Co. This hybrid is strictly “Nevil,” combining two inbred selections of the infamous Bx8 seeds from 1989.

• Heritage: This strain honors the original Seed Bank of Holland legacy. Nevil selected a standout female from bag #5 of his original eleven bags of Northern Lights seeds. First labeled “C.I. 5” and later “NL#5,” this plant became a cornerstone of his breeding program.

• Lineage: To preserve this extraordinary plant in seed form, Nevil crossed his NL#5 female with a male Ruderalis and initiated a series of backcrosses. Our version combines two inbred selections of those 1989 Bx8 seeds, ensuring a pure lineage without the use of the US NL5 cut.
