Kagyu picked Burmese as his male as he has been an avid fan of the Burmese’s complex, enigmatic terpene through working with the strain since 2011. It can be grown either outdoors or indoors, while outdoor grow enables the maximum “robustness” potential of this plant from yield size, height, and weight. While the plant structure will be quite similar indoor and outdoor, the height and weight will differ depending on the timeline of your vegetation stage. When growing, Kagyu recommends monitoring the height during the vegetation period and deciding when to transfer for flowering as it will retain the height. Kagyu prefers outdoor growing of this strain. He has grown to its peak at 10-11 feet in height and 6-8 feet in width. With its Southeast Asian heritage, it takes one of its most popular spices, tamarind’s “sour-sweet” flavor as being akin to lemons, apricots, and dates. It is sweet but tart, and sometimes citrusy, yet spicy/musky. It is potent, so a little sniff goes a long way.
Burmese is a pure landrace Sativa strain from Burma that has traditional lime/light green color with abundant trichomes. It has a slightly elongated form with medium density flowers and medium-high yield. The Burmese strain has a distinct tropical limey-sweet citrus nose and floral undertones with an earthy and sweet aroma. It grows well in outdoor and greenhouse, and grows to medium to medium-tall height with buds to finish in 10-11 weeks, within early October. The height grows mostly in the pre-flowering stage or vegetative stage.
